Wicca has always incorporated the concept of dual
deities, the god and goddess, the ying and yang. There is the Sun God,
but the name of the sun god differs depending on the culture you were in
- Roman, Greek, Egyptian, etc. Some deities have more than one name even
in the same cultural setting, such as Pan is also known by Pan Megas.
Calling the deity by either of these names is correct and is permitted. Below are some of the deities that may be used in rituals and wiccan spell casting that come from Greek times. These profiles are given with the sex, color, animal or plant correspondence, notes on the deity, and the zodiac correspondence. That information can be useful to decide which deity should be used.
